We’re super excited to announce the release of a much improved version of Paydirt. Here are some of the improvements.

Clients, Projects and Jobs

Paydirt now has a new way to organize and bill for your work. Your clients have projects, and your projects have jobs.

A Project is a wrapper for a bunch of work. Probably something you’ve quoted for, like “Website Rebuild” or “Identity design”.

In a project, you can define the different jobs, and how they’re to be billed. Eg:

• Design – $3000 total
• Development – $3000 total
• Updates – $100 per hour

When you draft an invoice for the project you’ll be able to pull in any or all of these jobs. You can even bill in part for fixed-price jobs if you like to take deposits.

All work logged in the Tracker gets logged towards a job.

• ‘Per hour’ jobs accumulate billable hours to be invoiced.
  eg. 10 hours ($1000) unbilled
• Fixed-price jobs let you see how you’re performing hourly.
  eg 15h 54m worked in total. @ $50/hr = 121% of budget
